Let’s face it: There’s far too much TV and way too many movies for any one person to possibly keep up. Enter Decider’s Stream It or Skip It franchise, where our team of critics and tastemakers help you quickly and efficiently decider whether or not to, well, stream it or skip it. (Truth in advertising!)
Decider has been publishing these columns for the better part of the last decade — seriously, check out our archives which contain over 8,000 reviews! — but we are giddy with excitement to announce that we’ve teamed up with our pals over at Page Six Radio to present a weekly segment for SiriusXM subscribers breaking down all of the week’s biggest releases in our patented Stream It or Skip It fashion. Tune in on Friday mornings at 8:40 a.m. ET to hear Decider Sr. Critic Meghan O’Keefe join hosts Danny Murphy, Evan Real, and Ian Mohr to banter back and forth about all the shows and movies coming to a stream near you.
On this week’s segment, Meghan and the boys discussed four big new releases this week:
- Secret Lives of Mormon Wives – Season 2 (Hulu): The breakout reality hit of last year returns, this time with even more drama. As Taylor and Jen Affleck are still processing the tensions in their own romantic relationships, Miranda McWhorter returns to the Momtok fold to shake things up. But should you Stream It or Skip It?
- Duster (HBO Max): JJ Abrams reunites with Lost star Josh Holloway for this new ‘70s crime drama, which follows ambitious new FBI agent Nina Hayes (Rachel Hilson) as she attempts to bring down the Saxton Crime Empire. Nina believes her way in is to turn the syndicate’s wheelman (Josh Holloway) into an informant. But should you Stream It or Skip It?
- Overcompensating (Prime Video): TikTok sensation and rising comedy star Benito Skinner, aka Benny Drama, stars in this new college sitcom inspired by his own experiences trying to stay in the closet as a hetero golden boy despite his interest in boys, theater, and comedy. This hyper-stylized, star-studded show is coming onto Prime Video with instant buzz thanks to its A24 pedigree and celeb cameos (Charli XCX, Kaia Gerber, and more). But should you Stream It or Skip It?
- Murderbot (Apple TV+): A slick and fun new sitcom that is based on the popular series of books by Martha Wells. The Apple TV+ adaptation stars Alexander Skarsgard and leans into the two qualities that Apple audiences seem to be most drawn into: feel good workplace sitcoms and luxe sci-fi world building. But should you Stream It or Skip It?
If you missed this week’s segment, we’ve got good news: You can catch up by checking out the official Page Six Radio page on SiriusXM.com when the full episode is completed. Even better news? You can tune-in again next Friday at 8:40 a.m. for even more recommendations.
